Marc started his career in telecommunications with Michigan Bell in 1979. During his employment with the phone company he earned his bachelor and MBA from Eastern Michigan University.
His long-term goal was to start his own company in the industry, which he did in 1999 with Carlson Communications Inc.
As the company began to grow locally and regionally, he partnered with his wife Janet to help build an ongoing thriving business.
Marc values customer service above all other aspects of the business and diligently works to instill this value in his employees and subcontractors.
Janet is a life long resident of Ann Arbor, and is pleased to provide telecommunication services alongside her husband Marc, who is the driving force of the company.
Prior to working at Carlson Communications, Janet worked in the food & beverage industry for 15 years, focusing most of her efforts in the sales & catering department. She later dedicated her time as a stay home mom to raise their three children.
Janet joined her husband Marc in 2007, bringing along her office managerial skills to help grow the company. As office manager, she takes pride in maintaining & improving the productivity of the company. She also works directly with their customers to ensure a rewarding experience.
Jen is originally from Newburyport MA, and she received her Bachelor's Degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College. After graduating college Jen moved to San Francisco CA, where she started working for the Pacific Stock Exchange.
After four years with the PSE, Jen was hired as the HR/Office Manager for Headwaters Holdings, a securities trading firm based in Sausalito CA. Jen held that position for 15 years.
After having two children, Jen and her husband decided to leave CA and relocate to Ann Arbor, MI. Jen has been the Accounting Manager at Carlson Communications for three years.
